Last night, I was just browsing a forum when I saw someone ask, “Does anyone know who the shortest porn actor is?”

But I noticed that in a behind-the-scenes video, she was standing next to a fire extinguisher.
The width of the fire extinguisher is publicly available data—15 inches (approximately 38 centimeters).
I compared her height to the fire extinguisher and did a simple calculation using proportions…
The result showed that her actual height is approximately 5 feet 2 inches (approximately 1.57 meters).
In other words, she wrote her height to be almost 10 centimeters shorter than her actual height!
I was stunned.
All of my previous judgments were based on false data, and all my efforts were in vain.
The real answer is hidden in an old Japanese documentary
I didn’t give up and continued searching.
Later, I happened to see a 2016 Japanese documentary about the health checkups of adult film actors.
In the film, the actors had to take off their shoes, stand against a wall, and have their height measured with a ruler, just like a school physical.
One of the actresses was measured at 4 feet 8 inches—that is, 1.42 meters.
This is the shortest real-life record I have seen so far.
But what surprised me even more was that she only stayed in the industry for half a year before quitting.
The reason was ironic: the cameraman used angles and lenses to make her appear the same height as others on screen, or even taller.
Viewers couldn’t tell she was particularly short, so her “unique feature” wasn’t seen as a selling point, and she received fewer opportunities.
She said herself, “I want people to see the real me, but this industry only wants appearances.”
What I learned from this investigation
I spent a night researching data, comparing images, and watching documentaries, and finally discovered that:
